Product Overview
The strap or screw, called the main bonding jumper, connects the equipment grounding conductor to the service neutral conductor to provide a low impedance path to open an OCPD during a ground fault. The purpose of ground straps is to protect individuals and equipment by serving as that safe path to grounding a live current. Ground Straps prevent electrical damage which occurs with a short circuit or surge.
